Just last week, Thailand elected a new prime minister-Phaethongthan Chinnawat (Chinese name is Petongthan). This beautiful prime minister not only became the second female prime minister in the history of Thailand, but also set a new record as the youngest prime minister of Thailand.

Interestingly, Pethonthan is perhaps the person who knows the most about hotels in Thai politics. Not only does she have a master’s degree in hotel management from the University of Surrey in the United Kingdom, but she was also the CEO of a family hotel investment group. The Rosewood Bangkok Hotel is her famous work.
Petongtin, who has a professional background, is actually a super hotel connoisseur himself. When traveling around the world, he checked in all the luxury hotels.
Part 01
The magnificent owner of Bangkok

For hotel connoisseurs, Pethonthan Chinawat is most famous as the owner of Rosewood Bangkok.
In fact, until the beginning of this year, Petuntan served as the deputy CEO of the Shinawatra Family Rende Group.

The land where Rosewood Bangkok is located was originally a gas station in the downtown area. Until 2018, the Shinawatra family decided to develop it into a hotel and invited the well-known architectural firm KPF to design the hotel’s construction, and Taiwanese female designer Celia Chu to design the hotel’s interior.
And it must be said that Petontin, who has a professional background and is well-informed, is both creative and courageous in creating, as well as very tasteful.

The architectural plan created by KPF is extremely bold and challenging. The Thai greeting gesture “wai” is used as the inspiration for the shape of this modern building, which has resulted in one of the most eye-catching modern buildings in the center of Bangkok.
At the same time, inviting Celia Chu, a female designer, to design the interior of the hotel is an even more amazing choice. After staying there in person, Miss was still moved by the elegant artistic atmosphere and elegant mansion feel created by the hotel.

Especially the furnishings of the guest rooms are mostly in warm light colors and elegant white, which shows the delicate touch of the female designer. Although the space of the guest room is limited, the orderly spatial circulation connects the entrance, living room, bedroom and bathroom one by one. Just the right amount of soft lighting further enhances the homelike feel and comfort of the guest rooms.

The outdoor swimming pool that is cleverly connected with nature and the city, the quiet and luxurious spa, as well as the extremely exquisite semi-buffet breakfast and the best Chinese restaurant in Bangkok – North and South, all highlight the luxury of this Rosewood hotel.

Petontin also uniquely proposed a plan to build a Penthouse in this magnificent hotel. Several luxury apartment-style suites distributed on specific floors of the hotel actually interpret the aesthetics and taste of the owner sisters (Petontin and his sister).
The decoration like a mansion and the private outdoor swimming pool in the bustling city fully reflect Petontin’s taste in life as a noble lady.
Part 02
Wedding at Rosewood Hong Kong
Having an indissoluble bond with China

The relationship between Pethontan and Rosewood obviously does not end with Rosewood in Bangkok.
After all, she chose to hold her weddings at the Rosewood Hotel, and there were two weddings in one. First, the wedding was held at their own Rosewood in Bangkok on March 17, 2019, and then five days later, they went to Hong Kong to hold a second wedding at Rosewood in Hong Kong.

On March 22, 2019, the 33-year-old Pethontan and her husband, who had worked as a pilot for Thai Airways, held a grand wedding at the Rosewood Hotel in Hong Kong.

It is worth mentioning that when Petontin held her wedding, Rosewood Hong Kong had not yet officially opened. It can be said that she was the first celebrity to hold a wedding at Rosewood Hong Kong.
Perhaps it was her love for Rosewood and her friendship with Rosewood’s owner Zheng Zhiwen that made her choose Rosewood again and again.

Whether it is the many Chinese elements in the magnificent Bangkok or the fact that he held his wedding in Hong Kong, it is not difficult to see that Pethontan has a good impression of China and Chinese culture. Even in Bangkok, she wore a floral cheongsam to celebrate the Chinese New Year.
Part 03
MO, Four Seasons, Li Ding Shi
She is also a super hotel fan

The family hotel business that Pethon Than worked for – in addition to investing in Rosewood Bangkok, she also developed other hotels.
The most famous of them is the Thames Valley Hotel in Khao Yai, which is located in Khao Yai, a tourist resort surrounding Bangkok. This hotel looks like a quaint British village. The hotel buildings are scattered among it, as if you have arrived at a huge manor.

Each building is also a very standard British stone brick building. Especially the transportation in the hotel is a horse-drawn carriage, which really gives people the illusion of being in the British countryside.
In addition to investing in hotels of his own, Petontin, who has a background in hotel management, is also an out-and-out hotel controller.
On her social media, you can often see photos of her checking into major luxury hotels.

In Bangkok, apart from the beauty of her own home, it is obvious that she has a special liking for the Mandarin Oriental on the Chao Phraya River. This historic luxury hotel is still one of Bangkok’s top hotels, and the Oriental Hotel, which was born in 1867, has an irreplaceable position in the hearts of Thai people.

Petontan and her husband also visited the Burgenstock Resort in Lucerne, Switzerland. This resort is hidden in the Alps and is adjacent to the famous Lake Lucerne. You can enjoy the beautiful lake view from the hotel. This resort is also a member hotel of The Leading World.

Just this year, she took her whole family to stay at the Four Seasons Hotel in Hong Kong. The family of four took a group photo in the renovated hotel lobby.

In Tokyo, she stayed at Hoshinoya’s branch in Tokyo.

In the New Year of 2023, she took her family on a trip to Seoul and stayed at the Andaz Gangnam Hotel in Seoul.
