Rwanda, known as the “Heart of Africa”, is one of the safest, purest and most ecologically valuable countries in Africa today. This 6-day, 5-night itinerary is created by Wilderness, connecting the two core ecological areas of East Africa’s grasslands and volcanic rainforests: starting from the vast wetland grasslands of Akagera National Park, staying at Wilderness Magashi, an immersive experience of a classic African safari; then a helicopter flight over the land of a thousand hills, arriving at Volcanoes National Park, staying at the legendary camp Wilderness Bisate, and tracking rare mountain gorillas up close.
This is a true “Africa’s top wild experience” – the itinerary is scarce, the pace is leisurely, and the resources cannot be copied.

Attraction introduction
【Akagera National Park】
Akagera National Park is located in eastern Rwanda. It is a rare national park in East Africa characterized by the coexistence of lakes, wetlands and grasslands. The landforms here are diverse, consisting of grasslands, hills, forests, swamps and lakes, with rich ecological levels. The park is home to elephants, giraffes, buffalo, lions, hippos and a large number of birds. It is one of the most successful areas for wildlife restoration in Rwanda. Compared with traditional popular safari destinations, Akagera has very few tourists and its safari rhythm is quieter and more leisurely, making it more suitable for high-end travelers who pursue privacy and in-depth experience.
【Volcanoes National Park】
Volcanoes National Park, located in northwest Rwanda, is one of the most important mountain gorilla habitats in the world. The park is composed of multiple volcanoes and high-altitude rainforests. It is shrouded in clouds and mist all year round, and the landscape is primitive and mysterious. Not only is this a core area for gorilla tracking, it is also world-famous for primate research pioneer Diane Fossey. Hiking through the rainforest and briefly encountering silverback gorillas accompanied by a professional guide is recognized as one of the most shocking and spiritually significant wild experiences in Africa.

Hotel introduction
【Wilderness Magashi】
Wilderness Magashi is located in a private reserve in Akagera National Park. It has only 8 classic East African-style tent suites and is one of the highest-standard wild luxury campsites in the Rwandan grassland. The camp faces the Luwanya Kazinga Lake. Elephants, giraffes and antelopes are often seen on the lakeside, and the sunset is particularly stunning. The safari experience here emphasizes observing and understanding nature, and is led by experienced guides. Combining fine dining with highly private accommodations, Magashi presents a truly luxurious return to the essence of the wilderness.
【Wilderness Bisate】
Wilderness Bisate is one of the most representative luxury campsites in Africa. It has only 6 forest villas. The design is inspired by the traditional Rwandan palace, and the architecture is highly integrated with the rainforest environment. The camp is surrounded by the landscape of three volcanoes, making it an ideal base for mountain gorilla tracking. You can set off directly from the camp, and the process is private and efficient. After returning from hiking, the fireplace, hot water and exquisite meals bring a strong sense of comfort. Bisate is more than just accommodation, it is an experience that deeply connects with nature, conservation and aesthetics.
